taShi Shiimi-ya-Shiimi is the visionary behind TaTe Diamonds. With a background in finance and strategic management shaped at global Fortune 500 companies, he launched the brand in 2017 with a bold goal: to bring full-circle traceability and ethical integrity to the luxury diamond industry.
As part of the TaTe Group, TaTe Diamonds oversees the entire diamond journey — from sourcing and cutting to polishing and retail— making it one of the only vertically integrated fine jewelry brands with such depth of provenance.
Under his leadership, TaTe Diamonds has become a rising force in global luxury, with deep Namibian roots and an international presence through its e-commerce platform and U.S. flagship.
Giving back
Since 2018, TaTe Diamonds has proudly supported the Megameno Orphanage and The Dolam Children’s Home, helping provide everyday essentials to foster safe and nurturing environments.
With our annual Christmas luncheon for the elders of Donkerhoek—a historic part of Katutura, the township where the majority of Windhoek’s population was forcibly relocated during apartheid—we honor the strength, wisdom, and resilience of those who helped shape the communities we call home.
